Boot from your Windows XP CD and when asked whether to install, choose to enter the Recovery Console. Then enter the command FIXMBR, which should remove GRUB from your system. FIXMBR tries to guess which harddrive your system boots from. If it doesn't guess correctly, you may need to use the MAP command to find the correct harddrive and run FIXMBR \Device\HardDisk<...>. You may also find the FIXBOOT command helpful. FIXBOOT will write a new bootloader to a partition.
