Hello,

I am using grub 0.97-r2 for a Gentoo Linux server that I have setup at work.

I was having trouble getting it to work when I finally realized that the problem with grub not reading the boot entry I had was the case of the word “title”.

Because the word “title” was capitalized grub was not reading it at all. Once I changed the case to lower-case (changed “TITLE” to “title”) grub read the boot entry and after the time delay booted up the gentoo server.

Is this a known issue? Is this a case of RTMF?

I would really like to know because I have seen words used in caps in grub configuration files before.

Thanks,
