try typing the following at the bash prompt:
 
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1
boot
 
This should cause grub to amke the windows partition the active partition and proceed to chainload it.

Subject: problem

i have a laptop and i had redhat and windows xp on it and i used grub

recently i got a virus and reformatted my entire harddrive, all partitions, and reinstalled just windows xp

but nowe when i turn on my laptop, grub starts, but it brings me to the "bash" thing where im supposed to type in commands.. i dont know how to boto up windows

please help
