Hi,

in grub-legacy
stage2/defs.h
stage2/dir.h
stage2/disk_inode.h
stage2/disk_inode_ffs.h
stage2/fs.h
stage2/fsys_ffs.c
stage2/fsys_ufs2.c
stage2/setjmp.S

have the following license:

| * Carnegie Mellon requests users of this software to return to
| *
| * $VAR
| *
| * any improvements or extensions that they make and grant Carnegie Mellon
| * the rights to redistribute these changes.

Also in netboot/cs89x0.txt the follwowing statement can be found:

|Permission is granted to distribute the enclosed cs89x0.[ch] driver
|only in conjunction with the Etherboot package.

as far as I understand things this is incompatible to GPLv2 because it adds an
additional restriction. Can someone please tell me where the permission to
redistribute these files under the terms of the GPLv2 came from?

Thanks.

Sascha
