Hi Adrian, thanks for your response. My intention is providing a separate password for each and every entry. hence I can't use password at top of the menu.lst. So is there any other alternative to protect editing the entry and block the command mode so that user can't use that ? thanks > > adrian15 > > > _______________________________________________ > Bug-grub mailing list > Bug-grub@gnu.org > http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub > -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Joydeep Bakshi, Linux System Admin Kolkatainfoservices Pvt Ltd, 23A Royd Street, Kolkata 700016, India Work Phone 91 033 40014784 http://infoservices.in/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list Bug-grub@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
