Summary: hp/compaq smart array raid device naming Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: zubkov Submitted on: Пятница 28.03.2008 at 10:01 Category: None Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Feature Request Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 1.96 Reproducibility: Every Time Planned Release: _______________________________________________________ Details: I have server with HP Smart Array RAID. Linux kernel names devices like: /dev/cciss/c0d0, /dev/cciss/c0d0p1, ... So there is problems with grub-probe, grub-install, etc. I made a fix to this issue in util/biosdisk.c and grub-install now works fine with hand-made device.map. This fix is just "copy-paste" of the same functionality in case of DAC960 disks. There are also other files need to be patched for full functionality (grub-probe still not working). _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Пятница 28.03.2008 at 10:01 Name: grub-1.96_cciss.patch Size: 824B By: zubkov grub-1.96_cciss.patch <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=15355> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?22759> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list Bug-grub@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
