Details:

I am using a macbook pro with the mbr blessed to be the default boot. This
boots grub legacy which then loads grub2. After grub 2 is finally loaded, the
timeout feature works to boot, but if I try to select a different option
besides the default, the menu (and system) will freeze. This is true no matter
which line I set as default. This version of the software was installed out of
the ubuntu repositories (Kubuntu 8.04, Hardy, the KDE 4.0 version) This is on
a penryn based macbook. Please let me know if there is a way to produce
debugging output of if there is any other information I can provide. Also
willing to do any other macbook testing that might be helpful to the project.
