Follow-up Comment #2, bug #27094 (project grub): I don't have access to an xnu system i can boot with grub, so i'm not sure how to correctly implement such a transition.
I can verify that solutions similar to those proposed in http://bugs.debian.org/538099 work for the Linux kernel, though. I'd be happy to submit a patch just for Linux using GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX if you'd prefer that to be the environment variable chosen. Or i could submit a patch that uses a generic GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD if present before all kinds of kernls, and a GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX for linux kernels if it is present, falling back to GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD, falling back to nothing. would that be acceptable to get this included upstream? _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?27094> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list Bug-grub@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
