Hi,
in short: grub 2 is not operational with PC BIOSs using AHCI mode for
SATA drives.
Doing so it claims that partitions have not been found when writing the
boot code. Reversing
to legacy IDE seems to be a theoretical workaround (which slows down
drives).
Test equipment: A P6T Deluxe running an Intel Core i7 920 and latest
Asus BIOS 1701.
