Hi, sorry about the noise if this is a known issue already... I have been playing with GRUB (1.98) trying to boot ISO live images of different distros. I used the 'loopback' command to mount the ISO image then the 'linux' command to read the kernel from the mounted image. I constantly received 'cannot read linux header' error when trying to access the kernel. GRUB and the ISO files were installed on an ext3 partition when doing this. Then, I tried using VFAT instead, which fixed the problem. Now it works as it supposed to. However, it should work with ext3 as well, shouldn't it?
Anyway, thanks for the great software! :-) -Tamás _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
