grub-install fails to detect lvm2 physical volumes on top of raid

Hi,
Debian 6.0.3_amd64 (squeeze net install disk) fails on Optiplex 980 with Raid0 and LVM. 

grub-install fails on disk probe.

grub-install version is (GRUB) 1.98+20100804-14+squeeze1

not sure.


Is there a workaround to force correct detection and finish install ?
