Hi all!

Used arch for a couple years.
Currently trying to get it to work on my asus n43sl, dual boot with windows 7 uefi mode.

Followed install instructions on wiki about efi/gpt/grub2_efi_x86_64
Install went fine but cannot get grub2 to boot arch, as system hangs loading ramdisk.

Using verbose I find the same as reported here:

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 64#p887664 <https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=887664#p887664>

Couldn't find any solution.

Can anyone point me out to some hints?

Version in trunk has no dprintfs at this position. Additionally enabled dprintf's in this location caused a malloc when none should have been issued. So it leads me to following:
1) Upgrade
2) The debug output is red herring.
3) How do you know it's "hanging" and at "ramdisk". It's possible that a bug in EFI caused disk read to be slow (there is such reported bug)

Thanks!
