Summary: document booting submenu items in the grub-reboot --help output and manual page Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: pabs Submitted on: Mon 10 Jun 2013 12:12:46 PM WST Category: Documentation Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Feature Request Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: Release: other Reproducibility: None Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: Please add a sentence in the grub-reboot --help output and manual page mentioning that rebooting submenu items requires a special syntax, something like this: ENTRY is a number or a menu item title. Please note that menu items in submenus or sub-submenus require specifying the submenu titles and then the menu item title. The titles should be separated using the greater-than character (>) with no extra spaces. More information about this is available in the GRUB Manual in the section about the 'default' command. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?39217> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list Bug-grub@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
