Summary: 'error: sparse file not found' and doesn't allow to choose system Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: leokrupski Submitted on: Mon 18 Nov 2013 08:19:41 PM GMT Category: Booting Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Software Error Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: krupski Originator Email: leo.krup...@gmail.com Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: Release: other Reproducibility: Intermittent Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: It is the release grub2-2.00-86.14.x86_64.rpm. I have OpenSuse with BtrFS and Windows 7. It happened to me three times that GRUB2 didn't show boot menu, but instead said: 'error: sparse file not found' and started SuSe. It is serious error, because it doesn't allow to launch Windows. Fortunately, OpenSuse can fix it every time it happens. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?40625> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list Bug-grub@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
