Please reopen.
Undocumented features/options are always bugs. It doesn't matter if it is
unmodern/old/deprecated. It is there.
Please put it to the manpage and mark it "deprecated" there.
Let's got to practice:
There are a lot of howto's, tutorials, postings using this option. For a new
user there is now way to find out what this option is about because no
documentation of it is available.
