Greetings,
I'm using Fedora 28:
uname -a: Linux cylon 4.18.18-200.fc28.x86_64 #1 SMP Mon Nov 12 03:17:32
UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
How to see the bug:
[root@cylon fedora]# grub2-mkconfig -v
Unrecognized option `-v' <-- not expected
Usage: grub2-mkconfig [OPTION]
Generate a grub config file
-o, --output=FILE output generated config to FILE [default=stdout]
-h, --help print this message and exit
-v, --version print the version information and exit
Report bugs to <[email protected]>.
[root@cylon fedora]# grub2-mkconfig --version
grub2-mkconfig (GRUB) 2.03 <-- expected
[root@cylon fedora]#
I have other questions about grub2-mkconfig:
Why does grub2-mkconfig produce a grub.cfg file that is different from
the one produced by dnf --refresh update ?
I have two copies of Fedora 28 on different drives, different only in
the partition uuid's and the fstab partition labels.
os-prober finds the "clone", but does not recognize the
/etc/default/grub option GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU on the clone
Where should I direct this question / discussion ?
Thank you very much.
