I'm running Arch linux, and I've installed the newest update (2023-07-10 at
around 9 pm chile time). The exact package in question is:
grub-2:2.06.r591.g6425c12cd-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
This package fails to load the system with following message:
error: symbol `grub_is_shim_lock_enabled` not found when trying to boot image
The problem disappeared after reverting back to
grub-2:2.06.r499.ge67a551a4-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst.
After installing grub-2:2.06.r591.g6425c12cd-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst I saw a
message about needing to re-configure grub, and I ran following commands:
sudo grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --bootloader-id=GRUD
--efi-directory=/boot/EFI/
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
