Follow-up Comment #2, bug #65065 (group grub): I emailed the mailing list about this and phcoder helped me out, thank you phcoder! :) He said:
syminfo.lst is generated automatically. You don't need to supply it. Your
error means 2 things:
1) real error is earlier in the log
2) most likely you don't have right sed or awk tools
I would go through and make sure you have all the prereq software listed in
the Requirements section of the INSTALL file in the tarball. I know I just
assumed I did the first time ;)
