We use Notebooks with an external USB-C 2.5G network adapter.
It is known that MAC address passthrough from the Notebook
to the adapter has problems and does not work reliable. So
for booting the adapters MAC adress is obtained via DHCP.
In this case grub 2.12 sets the value of net_default_mac to
the internal mac adress of the notebook (not of the address
of the adapter)
Expected is that net_default_mac contains the MAC address
with was used to retrieve the information from DHCP.
Very seldom it happens that the correct address from the
2.5G Adapter is put into net_default_mac (which may be caused
by the reliability problem).
