Grub gang
I am using GRUB 2.12 to run dual boots with Windows 10. I have
external drives that I plug into the box to run backups of Windows. I have
assigned specific drive letters to each removable disk drive. This is used
by the VERITAS software to grab the target and destination. Since the dual
boot was installed , GRUB hijacks the removable drive letter and
assigns the *next available letter* (generally I:\) and ignores the
predesignated Windows assigned letters (Q:\ , R:\ , S:\ , T:\ , V:\).
I have to goto DISK MANAGER and reassign the proper letter for the
backup software to start & work.
Is there a way to prevent GRUB from mounting the next sequential letter
, and overwriting the pre-assigned drive letter ?
