Hi! I am using subroutine gsl_ran_poisson and I have found that for values of "mu" above 4e10, the mean in a random generated sample is well below the expected mean. I know that for that values a gaussian approximation performs really good, but it is important to mention it, at least to mention it in the documentation if not to fix it. I am using gsl_rng_default as the random number generator (and no environmental variable). Thank you in advance and congratulations for doing this valuable piece of software! Enrique
