points out that "sudo make install" needs to be used to install GSL
(at least GSL 1.8) on an intel mac. I can confirm that this is the
case on a MacBook Pro (Mac OS 10.4.8). Could this be mentioned in
INSTALL? It would have saved me digging around the mailing list
archives to see if it was a known issue...
