There seems a bug in the function “gsl_sf_hyperg_1F1" in version 1.16.
See the attached test program, in which the generated value is correct when ri=1000 while is wrong when ri is large (ri=4000 in the program). The result was compared with Mathematica. When I tried version 1.9, which somehow gives the correct result.
