Follow-up Comment #1, bug #53905 (group gsl): The implementation recognizes negative integers only strictly upwards from -9 (this is a hard-coded limit in gsl_sf_hyperg_2F1_e), so negative integers in the range -9 to -1 will get the usual "finite sum" treatment. The others are forwarded to a function hyperg_2F1_luke() which is apparently not dealing with this case. There is no implementation for larger negative integers...
