The ‘core-updates’ branch is active again, in preparation of the
forthcoming 0.3 release. It’s being built at
<http://hydra.gnu.org/jobset/gnu/core-updates>.

I’ve done proper integration of the cross-build extensions into
‘gnu-build-system.scm’ (the special ‘%standard-cross-phases’ is gone,
for instance.) I may have to make a few additional changes to support
cross-compilation of the bootstrap binaries.

Another obvious use of the branch is to update core packages (GCC, libc,
etc.) I think we’ll stay at GCC 4.7.3 as the compiler used to build
other packages for this time.

If there are other things you want to change or update, notably in
gnu-build-system.scm, now is the time!

Thanks,
Ludo’.
