I have used kdenlive (non-linear video editor) in other Linux
distributions, without this problem.
On Guix System, I cannot load/import JPEG our PNG images correctly, but
WEBP images work fine.
How to reproduce:
1. Start a new project
2. From the "Project" menu, select the first option, "Add Clip or
Folder..."
3. From the navigation window, select an image
4. Look at the result in the Clip Monitor or the thumbnail generated in
the Project Bin. On error, they are blank, on success they reproduce the
original file.
I am running on x86_64, In case the repository information is necessary,
