I ask, because I read on the net, that KDE and similar won't run, because pthreads aren't fully implemented. That is: Weren't fully implemented in 2000 or so. And with my searches on the web I didn't find information if that had changed (means: if I could run KDE now :) ). -> I ask, because the debian guide says, it won't work, but its way to start xorg doesn't work, so I'm not sure how current it is. - http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/hurd-install How up to date is the Hurd user guide? - http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/users-guide/using_gnuhurd.html Besides: The error I get when I try to start X.org is "Cannot open keyboard (not a directory)" Best wishes, Arne -- -- My stuff: http://draketo.de - stories, songs, poems, programs and stuff :) -- Infinite Hands: http://infinite-hands.draketo.de - singing a part of the history of free software. -- Ein Würfel System: http://1w6.org - einfach saubere (Rollenspiel-) Regeln. -- PGP/GnuPG: http://draketo.de/inhalt/ich/pubkey.txt
