Congratulations! How about bumping the version to something higher than 1.6? I can commit the patch below if you agree. -AC_INIT([GNU inetutils], [1.6], [[email protected]]) +AC_INIT([GNU inetutils], [1.7], [[email protected]]) 1.7.90 or some such, please... Otherwise some distributions will name a CVS snapshot for 1.7, confusing users. When we are ready to release 1.7, or a pre-test, we can simply fix the AC_INIT accordingly. (we probobly didn't use that before, but we should)
