When building on GNU/OpenSolaris, i.e., NexentaCore, and on OpenIndiana
I am using my standard starter
./configure --with-pam --with-wrap
Then I am able to build everything except the following
talk, talkd, rlogind, and uucpd.
I know that "tftpd" is crippled (unable to transmit more than PKTSIZE
of data) and that "ifconfig" has some bugs in execution, but that it
suffices for displaying.
I also know that "telnet" and "telnetd" fail to compile as soon as
Kerberos support is being activated.
Thus, an automated build does not complete at present, but the most
important contemporary services are successful as manual targets.
Given a corresponding use of "--disable-thisthat" at configuration
time, it should be possible to see an automated build go through.
The recent claim that IU works for Solaris' relatives is overly
optimistic, but we are surprisingly close to this goal.
Best regards,
Mats
