Dear all,

with an effort to sum up the present situation, I can close this
thread now:

The refinement of our test scripts in the last few days are
successful to the extent that the settings used by the continuous
integration system Hydra at NixOS is now passing the tests for

  i686-linux,
  x86_64-linux,
  i686-solaris,
  x86_64-freebsd.

The corresponding builds with Shishi fail due to unmet dependencies
(FreeBSD and Solaris) or due to "tests/tftp.sh" (GNU/Linux). The
latter is not providing verbose printout from our skripts so I
am not able to tell the reason, except that Inetd did not start;
probably the port was busy from a previous test.

All in all, we have a sound verification that we are doing well
in three different environments.

Regards,
  Mats
