I have installed the package inetutils-1.9 and this changed the following command: ping ifconfig whois etc.
I prefer the previous version from my mac. Could you help me to remove the whole package ? You can do so by installing GNU/Linux, http://www.gnu.org/distros/free-distros.html contains such a list.
