It seems to build only with 1.8.   Thus it is in danger of being dropped
from pkgsrc.

Also, the last release is from 2013, so it appears unmaintained.

Is there a reason a user of a packaging system would wnat to use this in
2022?  I don't mean to be unkind but am trying to balance avoiding
effort accomodating unmaintained code and the interests of users.
