I keep getting a similar message when I try to use the program:

# -*-compilation-*-
Changing working directory to `C:/Documents and Settings/Bruce/Desktop'
Processing `C:/Documents and Settings/Bruce/Desktop/holly.ly'
Parsing...
C:/Documents and Settings/Bruce/Desktop/holly.ly:1:3: error: syntax error,
unexpected STRING
{g8
   bagdgagg}
C:/Documents and Settings/Bruce/Desktop/holly.ly:1:0: error: errors found,
ignoring music expression

{g8bagdgagg}
C:/Documents and Settings/Bruce/Desktop/holly.ly: 0: warning: no \version
statement found,  add

\version "2.8.8"

for future compatibility

Do I need to do to add version "28.8", whatever that is? Will that allow me to
start using the program, and seeing some success? It's confounding me so far.

Thanks,

Bruce
