I'm pretty sure this goes in the bug category. I'm not familiar with
the bug reporting system already in place, so I thought I'd just
advise of it, and let far more knowledgeable people look into it.
It seems that with the more recent updates to lilypond, a font-config
error is generated for the OSX versions. This problem is localised to
only the Intel versions of lilypond. I have checked it on both Intel
and PPC, and the PPC version compiles with no errors. Also, the
problem exists for both the 2.10 development version and the 2.11
development version

about the problem from the user-list.
