No, because the '?' makes matching the quote optional.

Sorry, I shouldn't have wait for somebody (namely you) checking the
Vim-related part of the patch before approving the Python regex part :-)

Btw. --author "Michel Dupont <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>" command line
option for Git commit might make your life a little easier for recording
authoring information.
