http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=644

New issue report by v.villenave:
An user reports that LilyPond-book fails when compiling a large number of
snippets on a 4G-RAM machine:

Dissecting...Traceback (most recent call last):

  chunks = do_file (file)
File "/usr/bin/lilypond-book", line 1723, in do_file
  chunks = find_toplevel_snippets (source, snippet_types)
File "/usr/bin/lilypond-book", line 1355, in find_toplevel_snippets
  m = res[type].search (s[index:endex])
MemoryError

I do have encountered a similar problem once, on a 32-bit Linux too.
