Issue 685: Enhancement: LilyPond should delete intermediate files by default
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=685

New issue report by v.villenave:
This suggestion has been around for a while, and recently raised again by
Graham.

Currently, the

 delete-intermediate-files

option is unset by default; although PostScript files are certainly quite
valuable in many situations, most users do not need these for everyday work.

Another related request concerning Windows systems was to not create a .log
file on every compilation, except when something wrong happened during the
compilation (either a warning or an error, other than "missing \version"
warnings).
