I think this has been discussed before; it has to do with unicode and
web browsers texinfo and such, but it still isn't possible to guess
right the first time what to run:

>From the documentation page for "running lilypond-book",
<http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.11/Documentation/user/lilypond-program/Invoking-lilypond_002dbook#Invoking-lilypond_002dbook>:

----------------------------------------------------
To produce a PDF file through PDFLaTeX, use

    lilypond-book [EMAIL PROTECTED] yourfile.pdftex
    pdflatex yourfile.tex
--------------------------------------------------

If I translate that garbage in front of pdf into what it looks like on
the screen, "-", I get a usage message.

The correct option is "--pdf". There must be a way to make texinfo
produce html which conveys that better than what's there now.
