Sorry dude, I'm with Mats here. Does pdflatex work? Alternately, does lilypond-book +dvips work if you omit the --pdf ? If the answer to those two question is 'yes', then I say we don't have any problem here whatsoever; if it wasn't supposed to work, then I don't care if it doesn't. Don't forget that you added a bunch of texlive packages; maybe that fixed something that was broken on your computer?
