Probably, i wouldn't mind to lower it to "Low", because i think in real scores (usually they're rather tight) an impact may be minimal... However your workaround makes me sad .)
I'll try to set \bar "" in a couple of scores everywhere at places where lyrics stops temporarily (that one which i'm typing now, let's say... 8 voices... a lot of places actually) and compare two results. I can believe that i won't notice any difference... i can believe i can be disappointed as well. So it would be great to compare, i mean. Probably .)
