Yes, the reason is that lilypond treats beams as melismas (which is the usual convention in classical scores; only in modern scores you'll find lyrics on beamed notes!), so there cannot be any lyrics on the subsequent notes. Thus, musicxml2ly ignores those syllables. If you want lyrics on those notes, you have to ignore beamining, which can be done with the --no-beaming command line option to musicxml2ly: musicxml2ly --no-beaming lyrics-melisma.xml Cheers, Reinhold -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Reinhold Kainhofer, reinh...@kainhofer.com, http://reinhold.kainhofer.com/ * Financial & Actuarial Math., Vienna Univ. of Technology, Austria * http://www.fam.tuwien.ac.at/, DVR: 0005886 * LilyPond, Music typesetting, http://www.lilypond.org _______________________________________________ bug-lilypond mailing list bug-lilypond@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-lilypond
