Yes, I admit, I have cheated when creating the 0.6.2 package by manually fixing the Info.plist file.
To get this all cleared up, I have built a new version of osx lilypad (0.6.3) [1] from a clean checkout of https://github.com/chhitz/lilypad (see my Pull-Request) according to the checked-in README.
Further I have verified that this lilypad build can be processed by GUB to produce a working LilyPond.app for darwin-x86.
