@Jonas Yes I installed the package with apt-get install lilypond
It still doesn't work with the generic package: I assumed to go into the folder and run: ./lilypond test.ly the attached output pdf shows the same problem in its bottom text. That doesn't look good. Where do you get LilyPond from? Did you install the package offered by your distribution? If yes, could you give the generic packages a try? You can find them here: http://lilypond.org/unix If that works, there is a problem with the package you have currently installed, which we cannot really help with. Regards Jonas
