There was no reply to this on the bug list - I am not qualified to say if this is expected behaviour or not. I suggest that you ask for a solution on the 'user' list (where there is much more traffic and discussion to help workaround shortcomings or bugs) and someone here on this list can tell me (I hope) if this is expected or needs an issue created.
