Basically it sends mail to the given SMTP server, e.g.:

   mail.remote --mailer smtp://10.10.10.1 -t < msg

will read the file msg, deduce recipients from its headers (-t option)
and send it via the server 10.10.10.1

It is installed in $prefix/libexec.
