Never mind, upon closer look, I can see this will require recompilation. I'm giving it a shot now. Sorry to bother you and thanks for the help clearing up the problem.

Thanks, but I'm a little green. How do I apply this patch? Is this just a script I can run? Would it work even though I installed using the package manager and not from source?
