I'm not quite sure what 'synchronizes' means in this context. To make sure we're on the same page: 1. By default movemail retrieves all mail from the source mailbox, incorporates it into the destination mailbox, and, if successful removes the mail from the source mailbox. I assume that can be called 'moving'. 2. If given the --keep option, movemail retrieves all mail from the source mailbox, incorporates it into the destination mailbox, and leaves the source mailbox unchanged. That can be called 'synchronization', provided that the --uild option is also used (or another mechanism is implemented to ensure each message is downloaded exactly once). > It would be good to have GNU software that is alternative to > offlineimap. I'm not sure what offlineimap does, but it seems you need the --keep option. > The documentation is missing too. http://mailutils.org/manual/html_section/movemail.html http://mailutils.org/wiki/Fetching_Mail_with_Movemail Regards, Sergey _______________________________________________ Bug-mailutils mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-mailutils
