Again, I can't tell anything without knowning the complete command line
used to send the message. But I can *suppose*, that the problem is the
same as with --content-type in your prior posting:
mail --help | grep -- --encoding
--encoding=NAME set encoding for subsequent --attach
options
Note *for subsequent --attach options*. It has no effect for plaintext
mails.
