I've been trying to compile GNU make 3.79.1 on an AIX 4.3.3.0 system and
have so far been unable to. The problems I've run into are all related to
the I18N support recently added. I've tried building with and without NLS
support. Here's the results:
./configure
> <snip>
> checking whether NLS is wanted... yes
> checking for locale.h... yes
> checking for library containing gettext... no
> checking whether to use included gettext... yes
> checking for getcwd... yes
> checking for setlocale... yes
> checking for stpcpy... no
> checking for LC_MESSAGES... yes
> checking which translations to install... de es fr ja ko nl pl pt_BR

> checking for nanoseconds member of struct stat.st_mtim... no
> checking for inttypes.h... yes
> checking for library containing clock_gettime... none required
> checking for standard gettimeofday... yes

Any ideas?
Tom.
