I've been exporing the $(eval...) function for building rules, and I must say that the "macro/template" functionality it provides is really neat. However, Bug #1517, caused me headache. The patch supplied in the bug report fixed my problems.
So, to my question. Is there any release planned in the near future that will include the fix for #1517? Perhaps a bug-fixing release only (make-3.80.1).
